GICAM 600 is a versatile, cost-effective 3D/metal printing solution designed and manufactured by Sotimeco.
Whereas most solutions on the market involve adapting a 3D printing device to existing machines, GICAM solutions are designed specifically for additive manufacturing, based on our patented printing nozzle. The result is high-performance, affordable and cost-effective solutions.
GICAM 600 is no exception to this rule: this compact, quick-to-handle machine is also particularly easy to integrate into any workshop. GICAM 600 enables additive manufacturing to be deployed at the heart of all industrial processes, whether for manufacturing, repair or prototyping.
GICAM 600 benefits from the technology common to Sotimeco solutions: it is equipped with Sotimeco’s patented DED/WLAM interchangeable laser printing nozzle, which enables the user to switch from the WLAM/wire process to the LMD/powder process, and a multi-material feeder (dual powder feeder + dual wire feeder). GICAM 600 can print in mono or bi-materials, or create a mix of materials in precise and variable proportions, enabling the manufacture of parts with unique properties.
Size
1700 x 952 x 2250 mm
Printing technology
DED/WLAM laser nozzle.
Patented rotating laser printing nozzle (material savings of up to 50%, rapid production, optimized energy consumption).
Raw material feed (powders or wires) on-board the head, close to the process.
Interchangeable rotary laser cladding head.
Material deposition speed
Up to 1kg/h.
Material distribution system
Patented dual-material dispensing system: powders or wires.
For each type of material, a double powder distributor and a double wire distributor make it possible to create parts composed of 2 materials (e.g. a steel core covered with a stellite surface), or to create a mixture of materials in precise, variable proportions.
Printing volume
400 x 300 x 600 mm
Laser power
2kW @ 920 nm
Movement axes
6-axis X/Y/Z technology: 3 axes for the head + 3 axes for the rotary table, enabling the model and nozzle to be constantly reoriented to avoid the creation of time- and material-consuming support structures.
Control interface
Control interface with console and dual 24ʺ display.
Process monitoring
Two optical cameras provide real-time visualization of the process: a process supervision camera (laser diode lighting adapted to environments with high thermal emission) + a general supervision camera.
Supervision
Control of flows, pressures, flow rates (material feed, cooling, protective/transport gases), dew point, temperature amplitude. Oxygen control (inerting option).
Hygrometry and temperature control inside powder tanks.
CAM software
Compatible with a wide range of CAM software (Rhinorobot/Adaone/NX/…)
Certifications
CE conformity
